Feel Safer on the Road with Honda’s Adaptive Cruise Control

If a vehicle has Honda’s Adaptive Cruise Control, you can rest easy on long drives.

At St. Albert Honda, we’ve always been proud to sell Honda vehicles to our customers, because we’ve always known that Honda manufactures some of the safest and most reliable vehicles available. Right now, we’re particularly excited about a new innovation that’s already reshaping the standard driving experience: Honda’s Adaptive Cruise Control.

Honda’s Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is a speed monitoring system that helps to keep your vehicle not just at a consistent speed, but at a safe distance from the car in front of you. ACC seems almost like science fiction when you learn how it works: using radar waves and extra-sensitive front end receptors, your Honda vehicle constantly tracks and gauges its speed and surroundings, working in tandem with you Collision Mitigation Braking System, to gently apply brakes when you’re encroaching on the forward vehicle.

Drivers, take note: the ACC is not considered a “safety feature” as it will not apply the brakes strongly enough to prevent a collision. This means you still need to remain attentive and alert while you’re at the wheel, even if the ACC is doing most of the work for you.

To find a vehicle you know your family will be safe in, stop by St. Albert Honda at 875 St. Albert Trail or give us a call at 780-485-0800.
