Honda recently announced that it would be the sponsor for the NHL All-Star Game in January. To announce the Honda NHL sponsorship, Honda had Wayne Gretzky give a presentation during the LA Auto Show. To help mark the occasion, the brand also introduced a special 2017 Honda NHL All-Star Ridgeline.
A Continued Partnership
The Honda NHL sponsorship marks the third year in a row the brand has been involved. The winner of the All-Star Game MVP award will receive the special edition Ridgeline as part of their prize. This is just one of the perks of having Honda as a sponsor. According to Honda, the automaker also hosts an All-Star Skills Competition for the leagues greatest players, as well as the Honda NHL Breakaway Challenge.
“Honda shares a love for the game of hockey with millions of fans around the world. We are pleased to support the effort to host this ultimate showcase of the NHL and its incredibly talented players in our backyard,” said Jeff Conrad, Honda’s Senior Vice President & General Manager. “We look forward to working with the NHL to create some fun for fans throughout the 2017 All-Star Weekend including the intersection of Hockey and Hollywood that will be arriving at LA Live the last weekend of January.”
Honda was named the Official Vehicle of the NHL for the past nine years thanks to its extensive partnership. The face of the sponsorship is The Great One himself, an ambassador for NHL All-Star activities around North America & Honda. Nothing beats the Honda NHL sponsorship.
